Bereavement Counselling
D B. Devall aim to give you a caring and professional service at all times, and are fully aware that you may need a little support during this difficult period. Individual reactions to bereavement can differ greatly, but often just having someone to talk through your feelings with can be of great benefit. We therefore offer a unique service on a one to one basis in the comfort of your own home, through our Bereavement Specialist – Marilyn Jacques.
Marilyn will make contact with you, usually by telephone approximately 14 days following the funeral, to offer a visit for usually about an hour at a mutually agreed time and date. Should you wish to take advantage of this visit, it is with the compliments of D. B. Devall, but subsequent visits would require a fee. The service is offered to you with a full guarantee of confidentially and professional conduct.

Hello,
My name is Marilyn and I am married with three adult children, two daughters both of whom are married, and a son. My own personal bereavement experiences include the loss of my sister when I was a child, my mother in 2001 and my father in 2002. I can fully understand the feelings of despair, isolation, devastation and loneliness that can often come with bereavement, and have found that sharing these feelings with someone who understands can help us to come to terms with the pain of losing a loved one and enable us to move on. As a member of D. B. Devall care services, it is my privilege to offer support and understanding at this difficult time in your life.
“The loss of someone close is difficult to bear, but the sorrow that you feel is a sorrow that we share.”
