Reception and Arranging Rooms

As part of D B Devall & Son’s expansion project a new reception area and four new arranging rooms were incorporated. Each room has been decorated in neutral colours with quality furnishings and beautiful lighting which has created a comfortable, homely feel whilst retaining an appropriate professional environment.

Chapels of Rest

Within the new premises Devall’s have provided nine chapels of rest, each with an altar and individual bespoke stained glass window. The serene and calmly decorated chapels include a specially designed children’s chapel, serviceman’s chapel and also chapels to accommodate non-religious families and multi-faiths.

‘The Clock Tower’ Catering Suite

The extension boasts a beautiful catering suite incorporating a light and airy conservatory which together will accommodate comfortably up to fifty guests. The room includes a soft seating area and a small landscaped decked area outside for smokers. When desired the Suite has facilities for remembering loved ones via two large screens which conveys images during the reception in the form of a photograph slide show. A comprehensive choice of menus are available and our caterers can accommodate all special dietary needs and requests. Devall’s will also provide a waitress to serve hot and cold beverages and be on hand to assist in any way.

Coffin Showroom

Our clients are able to view samples of coffins, caskets and gowns from our showroom. We have a comprehensive range of coffins from a very simple veneer to solid wood and also provide wicker, wool and eco-friendly coffins. Coloured coffins with personalised designs representing someones interest, hobby or passion can also be organised.  A full range of our coffins are also available to see in our brochure if preferred.

Mortuary & Embalming Theatre

D B Devall & Son are extremely proud of their new state-of-the-art embalming theatre and mortuary facilities and are pleased to be able to reassure families that even the’ behind the scenes’ areas of the funeral home are modern, immaculate and respectful and each patient will be treated with the utmost respect and dignity in appropriate surroundings.
